A city revived
Article Abstract:
Lyons, France, has undergone a revival, and this is partly due to the efforts of Raymond Barre, mayor of the city, as well as Michel Noir, former mayor. He has developed contacts with similar cities elsewhere, and has worked across party boundaries. Barre is to leave the post of mayor, and a successor has to be found. Liberal Christian Right leader, Charles Millon is a possible candidate, after assistant mayor, Henry Chabert, became involved in a corruption investigation.
