The changing face of the buyout market: The north-west market is likely to see continuing and substantial investment by institutions in the private company sector
Article Abstract:
The M&A market in the UK has seen many changes over the past two years, with the regard to the role of private equity institutions. This has been particularly obvious in the north-west market, where many large corporate disposals are now run by auction, with institutional investors approached directly by the financial advisers for the vendor. The institutional investment route is flexible, tailored to suit the particular objectives of single or multiple shareholders.
