A multiattribute decision-theoretic approach for the layout design problem
Article Abstract:
The multiattribute decision theory is used to create an algorithm to solve the layout design problem for a 10-department facility. The model improves the activity relationship construct by integrating closeness criteria with overall layout evaluation criteria. Layout alternatives are generated by the combined multiattribute value models and the specially designed heuristic algorithm within a software package.
