A note on an iterative forward/backward scheduling technique with reference to a procedure by Li and Willis
Article Abstract:
A parallel-type, iterative scheduling technique has been developed for project scheduling and resource allocation. The technique consist of consecutive forward/backward scheduling passes that reduces the project duration by smoothing out the resource profile. It uses several dispatching rules in conjunction with the Local Constraint Based Analysis to evaluate all the activities involved in the project.

Developing concurrent investment plans for power generation and transmission
Article Abstract:
The importance of decisions relating to investment in electric power generation and transmission is discussed. It is imperative that any such decision should be beneficial to both the consumers and the producers. A model that considers simultaneous investments on electric power transmission and generation is presented. The relevant method of investment analysis is also presented.
