Article Abstract:
Pope John Paul II has traveled to the Holy Land and apologised to Israel for the Holocaust, while offering sympathy to Palestinians. He has also given encouragement to the Christian minority. He argues that world leaders's efforts are the only solution to the problems of the Palestinian refugees. His efforts to help peace in the Middle East. Meetings are planned between President Bill Clinton and Syrian president, Hafez Assad, and between officials from Israel and Palestine. Meanwhile, the Pope's visit end traditional antagonism of the Catholic Church toward Jews.
