France reclaims market

TELEFLEX Lionel-Dupont (TLD) of France was able to recover from a near- disaster in the late 1990s by focusing on its regional sales. The airport equipment manufacturer, under the leadership of CEO and Chmn Alain Fribourg, has managed to reduce its losses to only FF79 million for the half-year that ended in Nov 1999. TELEFLEX, which boasts of a 9% share of the world market for its products, is confident that it will return to profitability in 2000.
