A printing plant worth CEK 3 bil
Article Abstract:
Mafra (Prague, Czech Republic), newspaper and magazine publisher, commissioned a new CEK 3 bil printing plant in Prague-Malesice in May 2001. The plant's construction was financed by the concern Rheinish-Bergische Verlagsgesellschaft (Germany), Mafra's majority owner. The plant is the largest and most modern printing plant in the Czech Republic. It is equipped with four offset rotary machines of the type KBA Colora. Each of the machines has a capacity of 37,500 copies per hour under the maximum range of 48 pages including 32 full-colour pages. The capacity of the rotary machine can increase to a copy with 80 pages prospectively.

Lovochemie to invest in a nitric acid unit
Article Abstract:
Lovochemie (Lovosice, Czech Republic), fertilizers company, will invest CEK 1.2 bn in the construction of a nitric acid unit by 2002. The unit will have a capacity of 900 tonnes/d of 100% nitric acid. It is to start pilot operation in Nov 2002. The project will be partly financed from a CEK 500 M credit granted by Komercni banka (Czech Republic).
