The architectural project undertaken on a massive scale for the 2004 Olympics in Athens is portrayed at the RIBA's exhibition 'Athens-scape: the 2004 Olympics and the Metabolism of the City'. The dilemma of the visitors at the sight of the huge, diverse, and disjointed collection of images exhibited, is as great as the challenge of creating a modern architecture culture is to the Greeks.
