A tolerance approach to the fuzzy goal programming problems with unbalanced triangular membership function
Article Abstract:
The concept of tolerances was used to enable fuzzy goal programming to contend with problems with unequal weights. The concept of tolerances was used to decompose the original fuzzy goal programming problem into a single linear programming problem. This is done by comparing individual values to the goal and minimizing deviations of each individual value to the goal value. Apart from being applicable to problems with unequal weights, the approach is also applicable in situations where units exhibit unbalanced membership values.

An application of neurofuzzy modeling: the vehicle assignment problem
Article Abstract:
A fuzzy system that has been equipped with learning capability can adequately make the decisions regarding vehicle assignments. The system, also called a feedforward adaptive neural network with supervised learning capacity, was developed by fine-tuning the actual dispatcher behavior. This assignment policy behavior, which is called the dispatcher's heuristic knowledge, was gathered from the dispatcher sources through a series of structured interviews.
