A window of opportunity
Article Abstract:
Bardox Group worked closely with 3i and Arthur Andersen to prepare its bid for non-core divisions being sold off by consumer and industrial products group Caradon. Funding for the purchase was agreed with 3i and Bank of Scotland from the beginning, with the advisory team liasing closely with the funders at each stage of the bidding process. Towards completion of the deal, Barclays Bank made additional debt financing available. The size and scheduling of the deal made it necessary for advisers, funders and the purchaser to act rapidly at each stage.
