STPI PLANS CYBER INCUBATION CENTRES
Article Abstract:
The Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) proposes to set up a cyber incubation park at Bommasandra near Bangalore in association with the Karnataka state government. The incubation park will enable small scale software companies to develop customised products. STPI also plans to request other state governments to set up such projects. This is one of the many strategies adopted to achieve the target of $50 billion worth exports in 2008. (khr)

The Industrial Development Corporation of Orissa Limited (IDCOL) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Microsoft Corporation of USA for developing software products. The alliance is to provide quality software for major corporates and government departments in Orissa. It will also train computer professionals and cater to the export markets. (uh)
