APEC to the rescue
Article Abstract:
A Concerted Asian Recovery Programme is needed to help boost Asian economies, and this program could be launched at the Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation summit in Nov 1998. Monetary and fiscal expansion of national economies can help improve the environment for carrying out structural reforms such as reform of the financial system. Export-led solutions are hampered by the reliance the countries involved have on each other as markets. Fiscal stimuli are possible since these countries have strong budget positions.

Investment rules
Article Abstract:

Three areas of economic policy are important for foreign investment, and they are policies toward medium companies, decentralization and privatization.
