After several months of looking for a possible buyer for its consumer long-distance telephone service, AT&T is reportedly thinking now about spinning off that part of its business. If that happens, the firm would still have its business long-distance service, and network and wireless. Discussions with Nextel and BT continue and could change the outcome of what AT&T ends up keeping.
