According to a poll among 795 Austrian children of 6-14 years of age by the Linz-based market research institute Market, 56% of kids want to be successful at school and 30% in sports. 53% appreciate sufficiently free time. 33% want the parents to be proud of them and 35% want a family of their own in future. 32% want a room of their own, 50% want a computer of their own and 29% a mobile phone. 48% want to become famous. 6% of the kids wished that their parents had more time for them.

Austria: Business network offer from One
Article Abstract:
Austrian mobile communications provider One is to offer businesses a new service from 15 October 2001. Businesses which order at least three mobile telephones for the three modules One Professional, Pro.VPN and Pro.Talk will be able to use mobile phones within the company for free by paying a one-off fee of EUR 36.26 followed by a monthly fee of EUR 33 per telephone.

AUSTRIA: GROWTH FOR MAX.MOBIL IN 2000

The Austrian mobile phone operator Max.mobil claims to have raised its market share from 20% to 29% in year 2000. In the pre-paid segment, the company's market share is 43%. At the end of financial year 2000 the company has 2.1mn clients, which generated a turnover of Sch 14.4bn.
