Austria's Millennium Communication Network (MCN) is to start business as Internet provider, and is hoping to win 100,000 subscribers by the summer of 2000. With the ZeroSurf package, customers can surf on the Internet free of charge for four hours per month until the end of the year. For additional hours, customers pay Sch 0.16 in the freetime and Sch 0.44 during business hours.

Austria: YLine files for bankruptcy

The Austrian internet software company YLine has filed for bankruptcy. The company's debts amount to EUR 26.3mn, of which IBM accounts for EUR 20.2mn. Assets amount to EUR 30.9mn and consist mainly of holdings in subsidiaries.
