AUSTRIA: ROUTE PLANNER FOR AUSTRIA
Article Abstract:
The route planning software "Route 66 Osterreich 2000" knows 350,000 Austrian streets by name. The user can choose the shortest, fastest, cheapest or most economical route between two places. A new feature is the possibility to add temporarily closed roads to the maps. Also a map of Switzerland and parts of other neighbouring countries are included. A list of "points of interest" gives the names and addresses of 75,000 hotels, restaurants, filling stations and sights. The software by Route 66 Geografic Information Systems costs Sch 699.

Austria: New therapy for children with eczema
Article Abstract:
Two Austrian psychologists, Nicolett Margreiter-Neuwirth and Sophie Meingassner, will start in January 2002 a new therapy for children with eczema and their parents. Via psychological methods the patients will be given information about eczema and ways of handling the symptoms, including methods of relaxation. Margreiter-Neuwirth and Meingassner confirmed their wish to collaborate with medical specialists for eczema and the treatment of children, in order to integrate information about the necessary medical treatment in their program.
