AUSTRIA: STUDY ON LEARNING SOFTWARE
Article Abstract:
According to the "Virtuelles Lernen" study by Austrian-based StudienVerlag Innsbruck, learning software available on the Internet is primarily about computer technology and used by students. The most popular learning programs on CD-ROM are language and maths learning programs. CD-ROMs and disks are preferred at schools. The range of learning programs on the Internet varies between regions in line with the penetration of the Internet in the region. For the reasons of data transfer, more multimedia is used on CD-ROMs than on the Internet.
