AXA says its net profit rose 12% last year

Net profit for AXA Group of France was up by 12 percent to 4.17 billion Euros ($4.94 billion) in 2005 from 3.74 billion Euros in 2004. The insurance giant had increased performance of savings and life insurance products in the United States and strong performance of non-life products in Hong Kong, Singapore, Canada and Turkey.
