Absolutely fabulous
Article Abstract:
Scotland's mergers and acquisitions market is a thriving industry during the late 1990s, with several record breaking deals being agreed. The largest management buyout being 68 million pounds sterling paid for Grampian Pharmaceuticals in 1997. The Scottish economy is being driven by greater market confidence in all areas of the business community, helped especially by devolution. Both the oil and computer industry are expected to provide ample opportunities for management buyouts during 1998, as a strengthening pound sterling weakens exports.
