Accor, U.S. funds to buy 52 hotels from Vivendi
Article Abstract:
Vivendi SA has sold 52 hotels to Accor SA in a deal worth 3.1 billion French francs (472.6 million euros). The deal is part of Vivendi's restructuring strategy which is attempting to concentrate on media and utilities operations. Accor made the acquisition with two US investment funds. The deal entails hotels, luxury and midscale properties which are primarily located in or around Paris.

Hilton to sell Scandic chain to EQT

In an effort to bring its European operations more in line with its North American ones, Hilton Hotels Corp. is selling Nordic hotel chain Scandic Hotel to Swedish investment company EQT Partners AB for approximately $1.1 billion.
