Private equity firms seeking opportunities within the UK middle market are having to show a willingness to forget traditional ways of operating by developing niche markets which are more likely to deliver higher returns on investment. The UK benefits from a fairly stable market and support from the Bank of England, although the approaching millennium is causing many investors to be more cautious with their money.
