The German market for deodorants
Article Abstract:
Analysis of the market for deodorants in Germany shows that the high level of demand for deodorants in the states that composed the former East Germany, together with warm weather conditions, is buoying up deodorant sales. Pump sprays account for much of the growth, while demand for aerosol products continue to slump. Roll-ons are also registering higher sales volumes, as do male-oriented products. Leading manufacturers include Beiersdorf, Elida Gibbs and Schwarzkopf. Deodorant sales are expected to rise by 13% for the five years until 2000.
