Agusta completes Hellfire firings
Article Abstract:
Agusta SpA has concluded firing tests of the Hellfire laser-guided anti- tank missile from the A129 international multi-role attack helicopter. The trials were conducted day and night at armored targets at long distance. The night tests were conducted using a Taman NTS-A sighting system with TV, laser designator and second-generation FLIR systems. The A129 International programme is about to complete is firing tests including ground and in-flight firing trials using a Gatling-type 20 mm swivelling gun.

Hind sports new missile
Article Abstract:
IAI Tamam is offering an upgrade kit for the Russian-built Mission 24 Hind helicopters that features Rafael's Spike, a lightweight subsonic weapon in the 4 km range class. The fire-and-forget system consists of an imaging IR seeker or CCD camera, autotracking software and a fiber-optic link with the rotorcraft. The control suite includes multifunction displays, head-up displays and integrated helmet and mission computer.

UK Hellfire rolls off
Article Abstract:
Shorts Missile Systems has delivered the initial batch of Hellfire II and Longbow Hellfire missiles for the British Army's WAH-64D Apache. The Army Air Corp will receive the aircraft in June 2000 and scheduled to be completed by the end of 2003. The missiles were produced in a new assembly and test facility in Northern Ireland which was designed to produce a range of missile configurations using new assembly techniques.
