Article Abstract:
There is a generally positive mood among the UK's owner-directors, according to the most recent Director/Pannell Kerr Forster survey of small private companies. Owner-directors are in a better position financially than they were in the early 1990s, but many still do not feel that their quality of life has improved. They continue to work long hours, and many do not take much time off for holidays. However, they derive satisfaction from running their own business.
