Article Abstract:
The retail market for insecticides and air fresheners was studied. The five countries studied were France, Germany, Italy, Spain and UK. The period covered by the study were the years 1994-1998 while the years 1998-2003 were used for future trends in the market. The results showed that environmental fragrances such as potpourris and scented candles were gaining market share over air fresheners and insecticides. Moreover, the trend was toward products such as odor neutralizers and electric diffusers.
