Airbus struggles to nail down Chinese order
Article Abstract:
French aircraft manufacturer Airbus S.A.S. has formed tentative deals with major Chinese airlines for the sale of its new A380 jetliner. The Chinese government has withheld its approval of the proposed contracts, however, and it is thought that the government is looking to use the deals as leverage in diplomatic discussions aimed at getting Europe to end to an arms embargo it imposed on China following Tiananmen Square uprising.
