Drug abuse in the US has grown worse since Clinton was elected president, a fact the Republicans hope to emphasize and capitalize upon during the 1996 presidential campaign. Republicans charge that Clinton has failed to speak up against drugs and has reduced drug-fighting resources.

Health care reform is proving to be far more complicated than the Clinton administration figured. Some on the task force are quite concerned over how many jobs will be lost because of the package and whether managed competition was actually the best way to go.
