Allianz to buy venture stakes in Taiwan pair

Taiwan-based insurance firms Eagle Star President Life Insurance Co. and Eagle Star President General Insurance Co. will sell 50% stakes to Germany's Allianz AG for an undisclosed sum. The stakes in the two Taiwanese firms were held by Zurich Financial Services. Industry analysts have said that Allianz is following a strategy of purchasing life insurance firms.

Holzmann union lengthens workweek
