American exports chicken out
Article Abstract:
American poultry producers generated $1.4 billion in 1996 by exporting unpopular chicken cuts to Russia and China. By exporting leg quarters then ignored in the American supermarkets due to doctors' advice that eating white meat such as chicken breast is healthier, US poultry producers had gained in 1996 a Russian export market of $900 million. Since 1997, the market for exporting chicken parts had grown to 4.7 billion pounds of chicken shipped overseas, representing for 18% of US production and generating $2.4 billion to the bottom line. Currently, poultry producers, Tyson Foods and Perdue Farms, boast 10% to 15% of annual revenue from export sales.

Getting paid or what's a transaction for?
Article Abstract:
International traders generally take lightly the issue of how to handle payment, which can spell trouble for an otherwise well-executed strategy. A good international strategy should include which payment method is generally acceptable and what advantages and disadvantages certain methods of payment offer. Traders are advised to be flexible in working out acceptable methods of payment.
