America's vouchers battle
Article Abstract:
The US voucher system is aimed at allowing parents greater freedom fo choice and forcing poorly performing schools to improve their performance. There has been a public debate on the issue and teachers' labor unions and around a half of the public oppose the voucher system. Many parents have chosen to send children to Catholic schools in Cleveland, since these schools are seen as offering a better education. Tax breaks should not be allowed for religious donations if vouchers are not to be used for religious schools. The voucher system should not be abandoned due to a debate on religion.

Bosnia in the balance
Article Abstract:
The fragile peace in Bosnia is made even more delicate by the continued freedom of Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic, wanted by the United Nations' war crime tribunal. He still exerts a lot of power in Serbia, which is delaying implementation of the Dayton peace accord.
