An MCDM approach to production analysis: an application to irrigated farms in Southern Spain
Article Abstract:
A two-stage methodology was formulated to assess the decision-making process in two distinct irrigation units in Southern Spain. The first stage involves grouping of farms according to crop pattern through cluster analysis. The second stage involves determination of importance being given by different farmers to decision process' objectives through resolution of a weighted goal programming. The methodology revealed the existence of heterogeneity in production plans and that objective weights play a significant role in crop plan variation.

A subjective and objective integrated approach to determine attribute weights
Article Abstract:
A subjective and objective integrated approach to determine weights for solving multiple attribute decision making problems is presented. The method utilizes the subjective information provided by a decision maker and the objective information to form a two-objective programming model. The new approach requires the preference information of a single decision making. The applicability of the proposed approach is demonstrated using an example.
