A fuzzy satisficing method for large-scale linear programming problems with block angular structure
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted on the solving of large-scale linear programming problems with block angular structure through the Dantzig-Wolfe decomposition method. A fuzzy satisficing method was proposed which adds a fuzzy goal and fuzzy constraints. The formulated problem was reduced to independent linear subproblems and the satisficing solution for the decision maker is directly determined by solving the subproblems.

An interactive fuzzy satisficing method for multiobjective nonconvex programming problems through floating point genetic algorithms
Article Abstract:
A floating point genetic algorithm called the revised genetic algorithm for numerical optimization of constrained problems (GENOCOP) III was proposed for multiobjective nonconvex nonlinear programming problems. GENOCOP III utilizes a method for generating an initial feasible point and a bisection method for creating a new feasible point on the line segment between a reference point and a search point. It can be used to derive an interactive fuzzy satisficing method which can guide decision makers in choosing a satisficing solution from a Pareto optimal solution set.
