Design of parallel algorithms for the single resource allocation problem
Article Abstract:
Research is presented concerning the use of optimal parallel algorithms to resolve single resource allocation problems. The three parallel computing hardware solutions which were used to test the algorithms are discussed.

Data envelopment analysis with resource constraints: an alternative model with non-discretionary factors
Article Abstract:
Research is presented concerning the estimation of performance efficiency through the use of data envelopment analysis. The achievement of full efficiency through the supply of additional resources is discussed.

The general behavior of pull production systems: the allocation problems
Article Abstract:
A study has been conducted to examine proposed rules for allocating buffers to maximize the mean throughput rate in serial production lines operating with push control strategy. The optimal allocation of buffers in a pull system by considering both the mean throughput rate in the maximized objective function has also been studied. It has been found that the results do not support the properties, namely reversibility, symmetry and monotonicity in pull production systems.
