An intrinsic consistency threshold for reciprocal matrices
Article Abstract:
A novel, intrinsic and scale-independent consistency threshold for reciprocal matrices in the Analytic Hierarchy Process is introduced. It is based on the observation that a new alternative systematically loses a portion of its weight. A comparison of the new threshold with an existing one is conducted. Consistency thresholds and inconsistency measures help the decision maker move toward his true preferences, with intrinsic ones easily interpreted, scale-independent and adjustable to any decision situation.

A method for choosing from among alternative transportation projects
Article Abstract:
A choice method that accounts for the different nature of the two types of agents such as technicians and politicians involved in the decision making process is described. The process of choosing from amongst several alternative projects in the transportation field can be studied as a three-level hierarchy process.

The pairwise egalitarian solution
Article Abstract:
The pairwise egalitarian solution related to the structure of the transportation problems in the game is described. The properties satisfied by the pairwise egalitarian solution are examined and two axiomatic characterizations of it are discussed.
