An un-killer app
Article Abstract:
Greater efficiency in identifying diseases can improve the effectiveness of treatments, and DNA microarrays or new biochips which could achieve this. Some types of breast cancer respond better to tamoxifen, and biochips can identify which types. Montreal's McGill University is a center for research in this area. New computational methods are needed, as are biochips, which are expensive. Cheap biochips ae likely to be developed, which will help promote these life-saving techniques.
