The check floating scandal in the House of Representatives could cause the largest amount of incumbents to lose re-election in over 100 years. In many ways the controversy is overblown, as no tax money was stolen and there is no evidence that overdrafts were not eventually covered.

Thick on the ground: British banks
Article Abstract:
It is assumed by many observers of British banks that the industry is operating at excess capacity, but measuring capacity in financial service firms is difficult. The best measure, after-tax return on equity (ROE), does show that British banks are underperforming.
