Lloyds steps up pressure on Abbey to accept offer

Lloyds TSB PLC is increasing its pressure on Abbey National PLC to accept its bid of merger talks. Hopeful about gaining support from Abbey's shareholders, Lloyds described the details of its GBP18.6 billion (Euro30.61 billion) bid to purchase the rival bank.
