Times seven: Sony Ericcson unveils range of cellphones at trade show

Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications AB has introduced seven new phones at the Mobile World Congress trade show. One phone, the Xperia, has a Microsoft Windows Mobile operating platform, the first phone that uses Microsoft software. Another phone, the G900, has a touchscreen, making it a possible competitor to iPhone by Apple Inc.

Sony Corp. has created a 0.3 millimeter-thick display that is able to show color video images and is so thin it bends like paper. Future commercial applications may include lamppost signage or wrist devices.
