Asian companies seek capital, making investors wary
Article Abstract:
Investment bankers and company executives are beginning to look for funding as Asia's stock markets have been experiencing a positive trend. However, investors remain cautious of such demand for cash even though the companies are promising that they will be more vigilant with regards to shareholder value. Moreover, the rise in the demand for capital will counter the rise in stock prices. New shares reduce per-share earnings and provide returns only when a company converts the cast to returns that can be funneled back to shareholders.
