At RTHK, it's business as usual - for now
Article Abstract:
Public broadcaster Radio Television Hong Kong continues to operate despite the uncertainty it faces after the handover of Hong Kong from the British rule to the Chinese rule on July 1, 1997. The radio station serves as a venue for the people in Hong Kong to discuss some issues and share political and economic views and opinion. The handover means that its $55.7 million yearly budget must pass through the legislature, and it will be directly under the control of China.

Riding the real-estate wave: panic-buying surge hits Hong Kong property market

It seems, Hong Kong residents have finally become practical about the situation and have therefore decided to hope for the best.

In 1981, he started exposing the possible corruption and abuses of power of Hong Kong's system of government. Walden also criticized the alleged cosmetic political reform made in the territory, as well as the Sino-British Joint Declaration which he claims to be more favorable to China.
