Australasia
Article Abstract:
Australia saw economic growth of 1.8% for 1st qtr 1996 giving an annual figure of 4.8%. Growth was boosted by a high level of public spending which is likely to be reduced, leading to a drop in growth later in 1996. Interest rates are likely to be stable in 1996 and fall in 1997. Tight monetary policy in New Zealand could precipitate a recession. Growth has been boosted by consumer spending and this could lead to problems with the balance of payments.

Underwriting announcements
Article Abstract:

The station may only go so far as to say the program is brought to you in part by a contribution from the so-and-so company, but must not promote what the company produces or sells.
