Austria: Milk exports booming
Article Abstract:
The success of Austria's dairy product exports is explained partly with the high quality of the products but also with the BSE and foot-and-mouth epidemics on the export markets that cut production in the countries affected. In the first quarter of 2001 Austria's exports of dairy products increased 10% and imports 4.7%. In 2000 exports amounted to Sch 6.6bn, up 18% from 1999
