DENMARK: SONOFON INCREASES NUMBER OF CUSTOMERS

Danish Phone Company Sonofon increased its number of customers by 26.3 percent from the end of September 1998 until the same time this year, as reported by Sonofon's largest shareholder, BellSouth. The average increase among BellSouth's Asian and European companies was 37.6 percent.

DENMARK: ROAMING RATES TO BE REDUCED

Article Abstract:

On 1 October, Tele Danmark, the Danish telecom, will reduce roaming rates by 15-35%, compared with prices per 31 July. Through this move, Tele Danmark's rates will be the third cheapest in the EU.
