BA, American seal accord with Iberia
Article Abstract:
British Airways (BA) and American Airlines have reached an agreement with Iberia to acquire a combined 10% share in the Spanish-based carrier. BA will receive a 9% share while American will get a 1% share. BA said that its acquisition price would be between 200 million pound sterling and 215 million pound sterling ($324.6 million to $348.9 million). The deal will give BA a hub in southern Europe.
