BSkyB and Canal Plus end merger talks
Article Abstract:
British Sky Broadcasting PLC (BSkyB) and Canal Plus SA have ended merger negotiations. The talks collapsed because of management control issues. The negotiations had taken place for several weeks. According to individuals close to the negotiations, Canal Plus would not surrender board control to the merged entity. The deal would have created Europe's largest pay television company.

Britain's Telewest, Flextech confirm preliminary talks
