Baileys Irish Cream global account goes to Lowe
Article Abstract:
R and A Bailey and Co, subsidiary of International Distillers and Vintners, has awarded the advertising account for Baileys Irish Cream, the most popular liqueur in the world, to Lowe Howard-Spink. There are now plans for the first international campaign for the product. This could be worth up to $31 million. Advertising is at present the responsibility of the local teams of International Distillers and Vintners in individual countries.

WPP revises Sorrell pay plan to placate shareholders
Article Abstract:
WPP has been under pressure from shareholders over a proposed pay scheme for the company's chief executive, Martin Sorrell. The company has revised the proposal twice during negotiations with shareholders opposed to the package. The revised package appears likely to be approved by shareholders. Shareholders which may change from initial opposition to the package include Fleming Investment Management which holds a 7% stake in WPP.

Maurice, Cordiant declare a truce in legal war
Article Abstract:
Cordiant, formerly Saatchi and Saatchi, appears to have admitted defeat in its battle with Maurice Saatchi, which has come to an end in an out-of-court settlement. Maurice Saatchi will have to change the name of his new agency to M and C Saatchi Agency, but will face no further legal action over employment issues. Four senior Cordiant executives will now be free to work for Maurice Saatchi on May 31, 1995.
