Bill's big roll-out
Article Abstract:
Microsoft is launching Windows 2000 at the end of 1999 and this is a new operating system that should take Microsoft to major company datacenters, as well as boost the credibility of the company's e-commerce and Internet strategy. There are four versions of Windows 2000, for corporate databases, small databases, small businesses, and PCs. Server consolidation is a new trend that Microsoft is responding to and e-commerce means that computer systems have to be more reliable.
