Black, yes; Democrats, maybe
Article Abstract:
Many black Americans are more conservative on social matters than whites. However, they frequently see connections between conservatism, and thus Republicans, and racial prejudice. They often see the Republican Party as being an exclusive club where they would not feel comfortable. The Republican Party has traditionally not really sought the support of blacks, but there are indications that this is now changing. This is particularly the case in Florida, where Jeb Bush, who is seeking the governorship, is campaigning extensively among blacks.
