According to Cobi Ladner, the editor of Canadian House & Home, the '70s look is back in vogue today, and instead of the singular or uniform look, the new trend is for diversity and independent style. The outdoor trends include fireplaces, yoga terraces, rain gardens, clover lawns and see-through fences and screens. In gardening, the two target groups are the 30-year-olds investing in their first homes, and the 45-plus who have more disposable income.

An overview of Canadian Marketing AssociationEs 34th annual awards competition is presented. Elections Ontario, created by Toronto-based DDB Canada, received the best of the best award. DDB CanadaEs performance was laudable, winning six golds, one silver, and two merit awards.
