Bleibt Volvo Partner von AF f r Wien-Busse?
Article Abstract:
After cooperation partner Volvo announced that it will move bus production from Vienna and Heilbronn to Wroclaw, Poland, AF Gr f & Stift is now looking at various options for the future of its bus production. So far AF produces the underbodies of the buses, while Volvo supplies the superstructures. In any case AF does not want to give up underbody production. One possibility is that AF continues producing the underbodies and combine them with Volvo superstructures from Poland. Another choice could be that AF returns to manufacturing complete buses. Also a combinations with MAN superstructures from Germany is being considered. Among the customers for AF/Volvo buses are the municipal transport company of Vienna and Vienna airport (airfield buses).
